Hay Bay Larry and I headed out on Sunday AM, casting around some weedlines near Ram Is, I hit a northern(pretty sure) as it took the RedSwan Spoon....... D'oh

Tried the Old Church weedline for a couple of passes but no luck.

Headed out to BIG water near the buoy north of the cement plant, a couple of boats working that area with downriggers and we saw them land a fish. We marked fish in that area and we trolled some deep lures with no success.

On the way back to Bayview, we trolled the small cove near Thompsons and I hit a 16" fish on a Uzick Spinner. Lost a big fish(sure felt like a bigger fish) and a friend fishing there that morning had released three in the 19-25 slot.

I went back Sunday evening and at the Old Church weed line hit a 13" walleye. Reports from that area from Saturday had one boat landing seven fish. I did some casting on my way back near some weeds at Ram Is and hit a pair of LM Bass, 1.5 lb & 2.5 lb on a Small RedSwan Gold Spoon.

The water is still over 70 degs F and is still dropping although the drop rate has slowed down, people think that the dropping water has caused the slowdown in the fishing. That's a theory.

Will give em heck next weekend.

I was out at the red marker sunday morning, in the red lund we managed 3 fish all 17-18 inches all came on c.c shads with 50ft lrads and 21 ft on down riggers, lures approx 1-2 ft off bottom, it was a tough fish but there was all kinds being marked on the finder, colder weather shoukd turn them on. p.s also marked several huge schools of bait in the area.

Ernie,

Glad you mentioned the schools of baitfish, in my haste to write the report, I neglected to add that we saw some pretty big schools of baitfish.

Thanks for the detailed info on your downrigging.

Sorry guys. I did mean that the docks had been removed for the season and not that the ramps had. You can still launch but it's not easy.
You can launch nearby at perfect vu resort. Picton has an excellent ramp that will be good right into the winter.

The ol' red and white are almost a new lure nowadays, but this Uzick I see in all the posts,...can I get them up Pembroke way so I can use them on the Ottawa or the French,...we have some good eyes that have never seen a Uzick,...what depth, conditions etc do you use it in
