Yes, a new record achieved for me this year. With the slow growth of the ice and the blown hip that is just about fixed (no surgery) dislocated and pinched nerves. This is the first ice season on the bay for walleye that I did not get out. Hope everyone that made it out had a good time. Fishing is a great sport and social activity that the catch is not always the prize it is time spent the way you want it.

Well said, as we get up in the years it becomes very clear that catching fish is not always the main event. Thanks for posting and hope you get out next year.

Yes definitely the shortest season on record. Enjoyed it and looking forward to next year but in the meantime my attention is now on softwater and either or both Lake trout and catch release smallies

This would have been the perfect winter for a hip replacement. The 12 week plus recovery time covers the entire winter Walleye season. I know from experience. I was ready to fish again, starting today. BATMAN

Last year I was recovering from a broken leg and only got out twice. This season felt so good to be back, short season but size wise, best season for me in a few years.
