If anyone is around Finkles today I would appreciate any ice update on the ramp and drifting ice. Hoping to try getting out tomorrow.

FYI: Last year I didn't have to worry about any ice floating around when I went out. It was the "bog islands" that surprised me. Be aware. I would not want to hit one of those. Not sure if they sometimes are submerged as well.

Thanks!!

Was there yesterday posted below. Floating chunks all along north shore and into finkles but these winds today may blow them out. East winds yesterday were keeping them onshore. It isn’t that bad out in the lake but still some floaters for sure so I wouldn’t be running to fast. I’m probably thinking be good to go by Saturday but I’ll skip the weekend and mixed weather and probably head out Monday. If you text me I will send the pics I took. I’m too old to figure how to do it on here! Lol

Thanks for the reply! I am at work so I don't have my phone with me. I will head out tomorrow anyways and just take my time . Weather looks to be awesome so I have to try. Also the weekend looks terrible .

Took another drive this morning as I was thinking of trying this afternoon after babysitting granddaughter. Beautiful day out there and a dozen trailers in the lot hope you found some,

Made it out friday afternoon. water temp was 34. Only boated three all under ten pounds. We were fishing deep with lines at 30,50, and 70 feet down. Caught fish at all three depths. Trolling motor batteries died (need new ones) and it got pretty choppy later on so it got hard to go back over spots where we had hits. Had something hammer a planner board but never got to see that fish.
In the end it was still great to get out.
