Launched out of Deseronto Saturday and Sunday at 6:30am, fished til 11ish. Since Mohawk Bay and the river had slowed down for us last weekend, we decided to try Long Reach with planer boards. Set out four lines, 3 with worm harnesses at various depths and one with a chartreuse/pink Flickr Minnow 7 75' behind the board. No idea why I picked that one but it ended up catching half our fish all weekend, even when I replaced the worms with more crank baits. We went 8 for 9 on Saturday morning and 7 for 7 today. Both days the bite slowed right down around 9:30am, but great action before that all through the Reach to Sherman's Point. No fish over 5 lbs, most 1.5 - 2.5 lbs. Speed 1.7 - 1.8. Awesome weekend.

The reach has been good to us as well, deep diving swimbait are definitely outperforming the harnesses although both will perform. They are still in the reach, came home with a 22" this morning which was one of 5.

how deep are you running the swim baits & harness, with 1 rod per and only 2 guys makes it harder to cover multiple depths?

We stay around 25 fow +- with deep diving flicker shad or equivalent. Bottom bouncers for harnesses.

Update:
We were out on Tuesday late afternoon till dusk, trolled reach from the Cables to Sherman's, 0 for 1, only hit came on a white Shad Rap, down approx 14', 1.75mph, later we moved in shallow, 10-12 fow & switched over to worm harness, 3/8oz in-line bullet sinker, 1.2mph a homemade chartreuse blade n green beads did the trick, a long cast puts that rig down approx 8-10 ft we ended up landing6 smaller eaters, all released as fish was not on either menu.
I was back out at sunrise with a different fishing buddy on Wednesday morn, we stayed shallow, off the water at 11am, got a dozen+ 14- 18"and a few bigger perch, kept 6 walleye, again the green worm harness was the preferred color
Decent action, good eats.
Back out this Friday looks like the last trip before next weeks shift in weather.
