Quinte Fishing

Haven't posted for a while but still getting 2-4 pickerel a night....8:30-9:30...around Belleville casting to shores. Drop shot/leech, and panther martin. But tonight tried a couple of shoals in the area with my "go to" tail dancer. Short casts right in the middle...4-6 ft deep....got 3 pickerel 17-19". Kept one. Then at 9:30...bam !! "Knew" it was a sheepshead, but almost 10 minutes later was thrilled to see a cat. My biggest previous was 15 lb. This was bigger. No scale, but 30". Scotty actually likes cats. But as this one showed, they don't all like him. It swam out of my hands immediately. And yes, on the Rapala.
I can't believe Rapala stopped making the original tail dancer. In my view, hands down the best pickerel crank.
