Going up to the lake next week. Staying in the west end where the lake goes up to Myers Cave Resort. Where are good fishing spots around there or do I need to head east near Browns bay??

Cheers

Smallmouth and Pike are everywhere...Walleye are harder to find. This time of year, I'd try the deep dropoffs around the islands in the middle basin.

Good luck !

Cheers thanks. By the middle do you mean around IKthoos Island?

Im fine catching bass and pike so is Mitchells Bay on Westend area good or should I move more towards middle if Im just fishing bass and pike? I am also interested in that water way that heads up towards Myers cave. On a chart the small river looks very deep. Anything there?

Also why is it called the Mississippi River?

It is part of the Mississippi River system.
