Like everyone else, troll around like an optimistic idiot, sometimes in the dead of the night, bad weather, etc.,
....only to catch your first muskie in the middle of the afternoon fishing solo.

200 ft back of board, 150ft out, 6 kph, 12 inch black and silver lure, 25ft FOW.

Didn't net or touch the muskie, so 45 inch long is an estimate. Just reached off the back, unhooked the one barb. He smiled, did a Uturn, and took off.

Thx to fishing buddy Jack, for tireless tips and encouragement.

Awesome fish! You certainly need to be a glutton for punishment with this species, but completely worth it for these moments!
