Not many reports on here recently. Hoping for more as the fall walleye season picks up. I really appreciate when others share a little info, so here's my report.

With the low winds and mild temps, couldn't resist pulling my youngest out of school for the day and trying our luck. Launched out of Deseronto. FYI: Power loaders have really done a number to the ramp - big drop off the end of the concrete and a very shallow rock bar that is going to eat a few lower ends. Watch out.

Decided to head all the way down past the ferry so that we could run two lines each. Tried a variety of baits with no luck until we downsized. First fish was a small walleye on a small silver, chartreuse and red taildancer with a 1oz snap weight.

Switched another rod to a small wonderbread reef runner. Three minutes later something pulled that board right under water. Unfortunately, turned out to be a sheepshead, but a big one. Still a good fight.

Lost two more fish on that wonderbread reef runner.

Another drum on a purple and chartreuse Flickr Minnow 9 with 2oz weight.

About to pull in the lines at 1 pm and the inside board with a pink lemonade Flickr Minnow 9 jumps back. Game on! I could tell right away it wasn't anything big, but I enjoy catching eaters too. Got it to the back of the boat and, surprise surprise, it's a little king salmon! - my first in the BOQ.

Good luck and stay safe out there. And if you happen to have any pull with the town of Deseronto, it would be great to see that ramp maintained.

Finally someone fishing in October in Adolphus Reach and catching fish.

Congrats to the young lad for the sheepie, they sure do pull hard.

The salmon is a surprise, I can't recall anyone catching one at this time of the year, I've seen Rainbows in May and lots of lakers. A real Surprise.

Thanks for sharing.
