This happened in long reach in 1957 and the record still stands. Pretty cool

I saw the boat at the Toronto Sportsmans SHow a number of years ago and learned why it's called Hayward Long Reach, Miss Supertest.... a proud name in Canadian Racing history.

Thanks for sharing Dan

This summer my wife and I attended a Great Lake Ship Wreck presentation at the Mariners Park Museum, PEC.

https://www.thecounty.ca/residents/serv ... rk-museum/

They also had memorabilia from the Hayward Long Reach boat races along with other interesting historical items.

Good place to check out.

The Lennox and Addington museum also has had interesting presentations. building the St. Lawrence Seaway, Early Great Lakes lighthouses, Early railroads. Lots of good Stuff.

Don Stokes will be talking about his fishing tackle collection on Nov. 21st.
