Launched out of Waupoos on saturday, Ramp is still open but wonder when it will close for the season. Fishing was spotty with 1 here 1 there. Got about a dozen fish with half of them 4 plus lbs but couldn't break 5. The rest were smaller 2-3lbers. Water temp was 49-51°. Drop shot, tubes and jigging spoons were all working. Fished from 20'to about 45'. Didnt look shallow but now Im wondering of I should of checked. Anyone else still chasing smallies?

I was out last week and launched from Portsmouth.

Didn't see any smallies on the spots that I was thinking may. :-(

Seems we may need to fish with Turk32. :-)

Hey Dan, thanks for the report. One of these day I will have to try out the smallmouth fishing in that area. I caught a few big bass trolling big cranks for pike around there. Some dandies too!. Last year I thought I was reeling in a monster pike but it turned out it was a 5 pound bass and I snagged one of my other lines reeling in and the second line had a 4 pound bass. What a battle! Somehow we wanted to net them both and let them go. Maybe next year. I can get out to actually
target the smallies. I'm putting my boat in the barn for the winter on Sunday so that's it for this season.

Cheers,
