Quinte Fishing

Is the ice at the sunken cable at the head end of the Long Reach ok? I imagine it is with the info I've picked up here (and elsewhere) about Huff's being ok. But haven't seen any posts about that area. Drove thru Deseronto yesterday enroute to Sammy's for minnows and looked across, but visibility was not the best, couldn't really tell if anyone was set up over that way. Appreciate any info that might be shared. Thank you.
