We used to catch these by the bucket full as a youngster on some northern lakes in the late spring...we knew them as mudcats. Hook and worm and as simple as it could get. Has anyone had any luck locally fishing these? Would love to take my youngster out.

I don't know the fishing situation.

If you want a feed, Joyce's Meat & Deli in Napanee (613) 354-9311 usually has them in the spring. My wife picked up some the other day.
