Just a headsup for the late fall guys to check your lower units for water intrusion, freezing water can make a mess of a lower unit.

good point and always lower that bottom end at the ramp and giver a few minutes to drain before putting on the transom saver and driving away

Good reminder. Putting my boat away and found water in the lower unit that wasn't there in September.

Pulled the lower unit and dropping it off at the shop today.

35yrs ago I had a 25 Johnson freeze and crack the lower case. Expensive fix. Well worth taking a minute to check.
