Has anyone seen or been on the ice. Don't care about thickness, just if anyone has been fishing.

Yes guys are fishing. Drove over the bay bridge and saw 3 guys fishing off George St and others fishing by peats and west they were fishing wilkie st and potters. In total about 12 huts doing a xmas day fish. Merry Christmas to everyone, wishing PB's for all in the new year! Hoping for a good ice season

Went out of wagers farm this aft
10 bucks to park now. Counted about 50ish huts out with more huts further east.
Marked a bunch of really big fish on the livescope, I think they were drum or carp. Marked a few eyes with one being a tank but no luck for me. I found ice thickness where I was anywhere from 3 inches to 5" . Couple frozen over pressure cracks and wet spots

3-5 depending on where at wagers. Not sure how today is as my buddy hasn’t text me yet but 3 days ago the action was decent he had a few and lost a few with lots on the flasher. I like my ice a bit thicker these days so I will wait a bit longer. The older I get the less keen I am. lol. Mostly the back for me though. Good luck out there.

I’ve been on potters the past few days, Jan 7&8.
4-6 inches of ice until I got out about 400 yards where it went drastically to 2 inches and started cracking around me while I spudded a hole in 3 shots. I backed up a ways and set up in the pack of huts. Hope nobody was upset that I was closer than I typically like to other huts. Didn’t hear any complaints, only hoot’n and hollering when they hooked up.
I’ve done well at potters thus far but will soon be looking for another option. I can’t handle the Wagers hill climb alone with my clam nanook anymore so likely crossing that one off my list as well.

Be careful out there.
