WE came up for a week of fishing in Big Bay and found nice weather Beautiful sunsets and lots of floating weeds but not many fish! We did manage to catch at least some fish every day but it was after 10 hrs a day on the bay.I did manage to catch 2 nice walleyes 0ne 4lbs and the other 3lb 10 oz and both were caught on daredevels while trying for pike in the weed beds! Speaking of pike, there were none ! Lol well alomost none we did see one very thin pike of about 30" who seemed to follow us around a weed bed for a while being getting bored and leaving. Also caught another big channel cat of 30" and My wife Connie caught a nice 4lb largemouth the last night with about 15 mins of daylight left. The Fishing was very SLOW.We were up in late JUne and caught more fish in 3 days then we did the entire week.Next year we will be back in Late may and again In mid to late June.Total for the week 13 walleyes and around 20 bass and NO pike! found that hard to believe. Was thinking the hot summer had a lot to do with that. The water temp was around 75 degrees F OH yeah and 5 sheepsheads the last night there.Good luck to all those trying the fall fishing and looking forward to next spring! Mike & Connie
