Bay off of Wilkie

Slid down for a fish this afternoon and not much luck. Got there somewhere around 2:30 and fished until shortly after 7:00pm. Fished in the Commando and on the open ice 14 -15 ft of water according to the Vex. Marked a lot of bottom fish and caught 3 mini perch. Marked a cruiser but no take at 5:30 in the main channel after he passed by the perch returned to play with the lines. Ice was good and clear black with a thickness of 10 1/2"s were I was.

If I get them great if not I was out enjoying the fish. 99% of the fish I catch I do not keep. My plan is to catch 2 walleye on the ice that go to have dinner with me and my wife and the same for 2 catches late spring. Other than that only the critical come home and usually end up at a fish lover but not fisherperson place. Funny how I will spend the time on the water and send them back only to go home p/u the wife and go for fish and chips.
