Out fishing for a few hours yesterday, caught and sent back a large number of small perch. Had fun with them and sent them all home since only 2 of them were more than 1 bite. Wind was a challenge for me with my Frabil Commando so I did not get off the seat since I did not want to star in the remake version of "FryFlier and the Wizzard of Oz" . Did see an Eskimo Popup and figured that the wind did its job of collapsing it, all was okay just the owner or user fighting like hell in the distance trying to gather it and the gear. Looked around while as I had "A Spoonful of Sugar " but I did not see Mary Poppins aka Julie Andrews. That was one heck of a windy ice day.

Fry, You should bring some ice screws for those windy days. I know what you mean when it gets so blowy the cleats on my boots are the only thing saving me and my hut from becoming a kite

Had ice screws and the dewalt with me Dan just did not put them in since I kept telling myself " maybe you should move to a sheltered cove." . Brought back memories from the late 1980's when the Castle Lumberyard on Dundas was a bait and tackle. Yes sir I was told by the owner / employee can not remember his first name Mr. Bull "I believe I saw your 1 man plywood hut skating across the bay toward the east " My hut was out buy the George St area and with that info we found remnants of it close to Point Ann and Snake Island. Ice was bad and the MNR told me to collect my numbers off it so that they would not have to charge me for leaving the shack on the ice after the season.
