I have to share this uplifting experience with an audience that can relate to my excitement because when I relay it to the non anglers that surround me they look at me like I have two heads and tell me to "get a life".
After unsuccessfully trying to find a deep diving Mann's in Dr Death and/or Blueberry Muffin for several months I was rooting around in the bargain bin at my local tackle store and there right near the bottom of the bin were two Dr Deaths and one Blueberry Muffin...reason enough to be ecstatic. Then I turned over the package and to my delight they were marked down to $ 4.00/ea.

Am I living right or what ?

It was a great evening as I sat and watched the ball game on TV and every so often glanced over to the side table and right there next to my Coors Light were my three prized cranks.

PS...please don't ask me the name of the tackle store because I intend to protect the identitiy of it as I would my favorite "honey hole".

Dan...I'm going to wait until my 10 plus pounder straightens out the hooks a little and then I'll put them up for sale as used equipment for $6/ea and give you first crack.

PS...The tackle store doesn't have any left so I'm not sure the location would help. I'll be hanging out there most of the weekend waiting for them to refill the bargain bin...I'm targetting a deep diving, purple, Reef Runner.

PPS... I really do need to get a life !

If you run across jointed Rebel fastracs in a Dr D. colour, PLEASE let me know.

I missed a couple a few weeks ago and think they would be super for Picton Bay.

Superdad,

This was the first time I had actually seen what the Dr Death color looked like. When I heard the name I was envisioning Oakland Raider colors or at least a Skull and Crossbones for eyes.
I was really shocked when it turned out to be "PINK". There should be a law against naming a "PINK" lure Dr Death.
From now on I will be saying Dr Death but I will be thinking Dr Biff or Dr Elton.

Markus,
When you retired the Dr. who did you choose to pinch hit for him?

I went to an older substitution! A gold luhr jeson fingerling. That thing was on fire!

But a few younger lures did really really well to....the tail dancers - any color. The Walleye wanted that high tail wobble and color didn't seem to matter.
