Man, was the fishing hot last weekend, again this year I found the DR. Death Manns Strech 20+ was my hot lure. Other lures that worked was a Clown repala, fire tiger fast trax .We marked fish from one end of the bay to the other, most suspended in about 40 feet of water I was using lead core this year for the first time, and it paided off big time. We got no real super eyes , the biggest we boated was 9.11 LBS my brothers personal best, all the rest ran from about 6 to 9 LBS, all about 21 to 29 Inches long!! The hot bait for Sheepshead  was a walleye Minnow (perch color) even though they are a pain in the Butt they are fun to catch(Sorry for the extra large pics  )

Here are a few that my Brother caught

nice walleye!! nice sheephead too, I never knew there was so many, we used to catch them under the burlington bridge in hamilton as well as the odd psycho steelhead that would rip your whole reel off in 2 seconds.

Nice catch there Big O

Thanks for sharing the photo's

Looks like you caught some of your fish within Picton Bay.

Were you using planers boards with the lead core?

You sure spend a lot of time on the shores of Lake Ontario, (Port Hope) for a guy from the north country.

Good Luck and thanks again . Jim

Thanks Dan, all these great trips we owe to Super Dad and Ken, they are the ones that got me hooked on the Bay Of Quinte, you guys are Lucky to have such a great fishery right in your back yard!!!

I do seem to put on a few Miles on old Blue, Port Hope has become My Second home in the summer and Quinte in the fall, Now I'm looking to haul My boat to the Niagra river in the winter for Lakers and Rainbows, I hope to make about 5 trips this winter, sure glad the cost of gas is going down  As for the lead core, Yes i was using Leadcore of my Church Boards (5 color)worked great, but with the Manns Streach 20's I do believe i was to deep and we had to realy take our time bring the fish in so we would not harm them. The walleye Minnows seem to be in the right strike zone :D
