.......... with the states 1 1/2 hours away i find it hard Canadian tire even sells fishing lures . man im knocked over by the price then add the tax at 15% im sorry guys you are getting hit hard .............. its almost criminal to do that to nice guys like fishermen lol .......... look go over the border stop in watertown and hit the Gander mountin store.. you would no doubt save the gas money and a lunch cost going there verses paying the price here . some lures i see here are 4 and 5 dollars more even with the exchange ................. please note im not trying to take buisness away from the small tackle shops where we expect to pay more but we also make friend in them places and dont mind paying a bit more. at least i dont............. but when you go to wallmart or canadian tire and pay them prices i just have to wonder why the prices are so much different .............. hell make me a list and ill price some stuff out and get back to you lol ........... ill meet you at the docks with lures in hand i see big jerk bates going for 8 even 9 bucks here when they sell for 5 and 6 down there . thats saving you 2 or 3 bucks a lure. dont know bout you but when i get in them candy stores i find it hard to leave with less than a dozen lures and usually have 3 boxes in my boat . so . my lady thinks im nuts lol . we all know different dont we guys lol .......... thank god i live in NY, but i think im turning Canadian at a fast pace . you guys are great people, and the fishing is great ........ happy trolling guys........... we all cry when we bust off a lure , bud does it have to cost us our first born in one sumer of hard fishing? lol

this is probably one of the reasons I fly fish, but then found out a fly half the size of a dime can cost you $2 !!! so I tie all my flies now. I met a guy from the states one time out for trout and was comparing his flies, said they were $5 each in the states, nevermind just getting snagged on structure like you guys, we also lose them in trees on a backcast!! or if you have a bad cast you'll hear a loud crack, to find you have nothing on the end of your leader. our money is shot on other things like $60 - $100 for a decent fly line that lasts maybe one season. I don't think there is a cheap way to fish, maybe with a stick, some line and a hook and worm .

.......... right........lol........... how many of you have 3 tackle boxes but find yerself using the same old lures most the time> .... yet every time we go to the candy store we have to buy that new lure that a copy of some old lure just to see if this is THE ONE...... the one lure to end all lure purchases lol right..like thats ever gonna happen............... i do feel for the musky guy who buys a 25 dollar lure. wow................. i think id rig some trebles to a big stick and paint it red and white *L* ............. hope for the best lol there is two kinds of fishing,,,, good fishing, and great fishing............ great fishing is when you catch a fish ......... lol ............ enjoy guys

Fishing for dollars. You can't count the cost of that fish-on smile.

Anyone see those handmade Musky Lures at the Sportsman Show that run around $269.00 EACH..

That's expensive nevermind a 8 - 9 or 10 dollar job, can you think of heaving a lure that expensive with a line in to weeds.

LOL, I'd use that money for a down payment on a house of hardy rod from england :o or a Sage
I would be curious to see what those muskie lures look like though, they must be really decorated for an ornament/collectors item. they have a kit at quinte outdoors that you can carve your own lure.

I am curious about the expensive musky lures you saw.

Were they Dowluck from Japan by chance? These have been the most expensive I have seen....and only from a video that a fellow sent me from Japan. The price you mentioned is a $ benchmark I have no seen anywhere making me most curious as to their origin.

Regards
Don Stokes
