Based upon what you are describing, the most efficient boat lauch might be Picton. Dan or Superdad and a few others on the board could confirm better, as even though it is my home....lol.....I work across the country at the present time. There are a couple of nice restaurants in Picton (Waring House) and a couple in Napanee (Royal Coachman, and this place that slips my memory that is new).

Have fun and enjoy your stay.

best to put in in picton easy loading and unloading. i put in in mcfarland park thats right across from the cement plant and found it hard to get the boat back on the trailor. if you go there id say take some hip waders to make it easier to get the boat back out.................. you dont have this trouble in the picton harbor................ .

We checked the launch ramps this weekend and the ramp at McFarlene Park has a dock in the water. The ramp at the Adolphustown ferry terminal has a dock, albeit a short one. The docks are out of the water at the Shermans Pt and Old Church launch ramps and the water in Hay Bay is REALLY LOW......

We know the Picton municipal ramp has a long dock to assist you.

It would be a long ride from Desronto to the Picton area, there are some good areas to fish up Desronto way. The Narrows produce fish and there has to be fish wintering in Mohawk Bay.

Remember all the fish that end in Belleville and Trenton have to go by Desronto and they all travel up Long Reach to get there.

I don't know if the dock is still in at Desronto, but there's a section that is permanent and it's a nice ramp.

Lotsa luck.
