Wow...10-1/2 hours on the water and only one bloody Sheepy to show for it. Caught by one of my buddies. Absolutely calm conditions though. I'm thinking between the calm conditions and the heavy traffic, the fish were driven deeper. We marked quite a few 50 ft and deeper. Unfortunately, no Walleye to speak of.

Don't ya just love 'eye fishin' :?: :D

We threw everything at 'em. Between the 3 of us in the boat we had 500+ lures to choose from. Tried speeds from 1 to 2.8 mph...different lures from small shallow running cranks to Mann's 25's. Just wasn't meant to be. We stayed clear of the crowds by far and worked well out into the gap, hoping to hit the jackpot....It was not to be !!..

Seems the few that did get taken, were in the crowds...

Talked to Superdad Saturday and he wasn't having much luck either. Heard of a couple boats nailing a few but mot many. Most we heard about was 3 in a couple boats, and another boat that got two.

We called it a trip and didn't stick around for the Sunday fish...Although it didn't look as bad as it was supposed to be as we drove along 33... :(

Back up in a couple weeks again hopefully to try again :!: :D

Us novices don't feel quite so bad now - we spent all day Saturday and until 1 pm Sunday looking for a strike - No Luck!
Saturday was a great day to be on the water though - with the calm weather and the sun warming us most of the time, it was hard to beat as an outing. Even though Sunday was rougher and we marked a lot of fish, we were not able to entice them.
We did have an enjoyable weekend and as Arnold would say "We'll be back"!.
