Soooooooooooo, Sataurday morning; I am up at 5am sharp; look out the window; notice that there is no wind what so ever; get up; the wife asks "what are you doing??'; I say it is a beautiful calm morning, suppose to be really crappy on Sunday, why not go for a fish since it is my weekend off, and guess what she says. Thats right, " You are not allowed to go fishing, You have to spend time with the family" . Don't have the biggest boat so if I can spend a whole day out at Picton, searching for these monsters this would be the day. Am allowed to go Sunday morning when the weather is suppose to be crappy but whats the point. Just wondering how everybody else who was "allowed" to go fishing made out?? If I get out sunday morning I am planning on going out by the rocks at snake island ( they say that they are nailing them there, nothing big but good eaters. Got my big one for the wall last winter). I will do a follow up.

What do they use when they are fishing snake island at this time of year? cranks, jerk baits or jigs? I was on Rice sat. and had a ball Close to 20 smallies and 2 muskie and a 6.7lb eye. Love it when theres no wind.

Jay,
Man I could of wrote the post myself. Its a always a balancing act with family and fishing. Well if it makes you feel any better. I was fortunate to get out saturday during the flat calm conditions and only got 1 fish and lost one. Those flat days can be slow days too.
