~~~~~~Where to start about an hour before Walleyedreamer picks us up, Missy all over me to get up Okay okay I'm up $^#^&% tried to tell her I had 30 min yet before I had to get up,but no she wants to go and when I put her collar on her she went and woke the wife and daughter up also, and right on the dot 30min. early there he is,so we loaded up and away we go.
Got to Picton about 6:40 ran into Doug with a G from FO who was also heading out. we decided to head over to the Fairy(oops) Ferry Dock and set up and head East down the Reach. Found our speed was too fast 2.8mph, out came our Drift Socks dropped our speed down to 1.4mph which made very difficult to steer(my shoulders are still sore) but got our speed down. We both had 2 rods out I trolled with Manns20 Tiger Minnow on a Planer board on a long line, I got a old Penn reel with 25 lb. test on left over from my old Salmon days out of the Credit. I let out about 300 ft. behind the boat and 20ft. off the side on a little planer board. Also had on the other rod Mann20 Perch, Knew with our speed it would most likely be running about 15 ft. down so I put 3 good size weights together and attached them to the line with a old downrigger release after letting out 150 ft.first. As we got near the light house Phish On , Phish Off, lost it trying to get the release off. Heard a growl Missy and knew she was not happy, we both had to promise her we wouldn't lose the next one. Set up again, and I was wondering if my planer was running correctly, it seemed to be upside down, so I brought it in, released the board and thought I try another bait. Well I forgot how much line I had on and it seem to take for ever to get it in, and the lure wouldn't come up, WD looks down off the stern and yells Phish On, I believe it was on there for awhile there was no fight in him, but it's a nice Walleye, weighing in at 5.5lbs. I thought it was just over 4 but I was holding it in my Right hand should have used my left and it would have been 8lbs.
We phished until 2:00pm then went and checked in at the Tip Of The Bay Motel, we rested up had something to eat them back out for the Evening bite, we headed over to Thompson trolling marked all kinds of phish at all levels but no hits.
Sunday we decided to drift the Picton Bay, with three socks to slow us down to .6mph and just jig very slowly keeping in contact with the bottom, again we marked huge schools of bait, and I could feel them bumping the line, and as we just passed Merlans I hear Phish On from WD and his rod is bent over and he saying he not coming up, Missy growled at him,so he slowed down and slowly worked it in to be rewarded with a 10lb. Walleye at least it was until I took in off my Left hand and put it on the scale and it weighed in at 8.9lb.WD liked my left hand scale better.We did about 3 more drifts with no hits and called it for the day
~~~I want to thank Mario for a great weekend and being a good sport about not whining about my snoring, which even woke me up. Also like to thank the Dark Princess for the sandwiches we had, just finshed the last one here at work and didn't have to share with Missy they were great wish I had another.

~~~~The only sour note was I had lost my wallet as we were loading up to come home, not sure what to do the Phishen season isn't over yet, and now I got no Lic. I'll have to make some calls and start deleting things and getting them replaced
