Ron was not sure to go ahead with the tourney as there was only 5-7 boats who were expected ( I would of thought more would of been interested). Well at 6:30 am at the launch Ron asks those of us that came with money in hand what we wanted to do. As a group we decided to go ahead and since the wind was howling straight down the reach and onto the ramp we decided to convoy over to Prinyers Cove launch. By 8am everyone is fishing. Eye Tracker and I are fishing together in his boat and boy let me tell you I was spoiled. 8) He drove the boat and I rigged and reeled the rods. All in the comfort of a wrap around windshield with full stand-up top. Someone said it was windy, I didnt notice :D We caught 1 on the DR. (8lbs.)and then within minutes another on the DR. (8.9lbs) then nothing for hours ... finally another fish on the deep diving crystal minnow. A fat 12 lber. We happen to be trolling past the launch site and realize everybody has called it quits. I asked Ron what the leading weight was and the reply was zero. So Eye Tracker and I had won it all!!  20.9lbs for 2 fish. For our efforts $400.00, a line counter reel and rod from Okuma and a tackle box with a bunch of baits and lures. $250. went to the charity to support their fishing program in the upcoming year. Ron plans on trying again next spring during june. Heres a pic. Image

I would like to thank everyone involved in running the tournament from Skevy's for a great time. It is nice to see the money going to a great cause and I look forward to another event next year.

Thanks to Dan Elliot for hosting my stay in Belleville and a special thanks to Paul Shibata and G-Loomis Canada for providing me with some walleye trolling rods in time for the tournament.

See you all next year...

All the best on the water,

-Sheldon Hatch

Steve,

G-Loomis has a walleye series of rods, on Sunday I was trolling in-line planers with their 7ft 10" WTR941C trolling rod. It is a great rod for both in-line boards and leadcore. I love the light weight of the rod, the extra fast action and incredible butt strength when you need it for those big Quinte walleye.

cheers'

Heard you guys on Ch 72 and the organizer call you in.

We were in the Reach between the power plant and the Ferry. 6 fish total, 2 around 7, 3 around nine and 1 at 10. Dr Death's, Tail Dancers & Risto Rap.

Back out Sunday and three more all around Shermans Point area. 2 at7, 1 at 11. Had to downsize to get bit Got the 11 on a Rapala RS Shad.

Someday I'll figure out how to post pictures. If somebody wants to give me a quick tutorial I've got them on my PC.

Green Fischer Walleye Boat.
