hey i was wondering what the ice is like (if their is any) around telegraph narrows. and maybe a estimate around ice opener.

Muddywater, the ice around telegraph is never good,even in the coldest winters it's always open there. Stay away from that area, there has been drownings there in the past years.

I agree with the above statement, the ice is never good in that area. If you are looking for some good spots for first ice I always go to to Potters Creek (at the end of Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd.) and to Petes Point (almost straight across from the Belleville hospital). I have always done well and the ice is the safest. I would predict that if the weather stays cold for the rest of the week you will see some guys out there this weekend.
