Well I went and bought a flasher,I got this unit because I can use it when I head up north with the 12' boat as a portable fishfinder and the price was right.LeBarons had them for $397.00,so when I went to Bass Pro on Dec.26 I asked will they price match and they did plus 15%off because LeBarons had no tax,now I'm down to $331.00.For christmas the wife gave me $250.00 and with the Bass Pro gift cards I got, it cost me all of 3 bucks.Used it this weekend,I found it pretty easy to use,it does tell the difference between small and big fish eg. perch/walleye.I'm not saying it helped me catch more fish,but it let me know when they were near the hole,so you can finesse them a little.
