Anyone have any luck at meyer's for Bass, Walleye or Musky???????
All I could manage were a few LM Bass and One nice walleye!

The Lm Bass were everywhere in the mid summer heat!!! And got the Walleye Second weekend in MAY!

those are some nice fish for meyers pier, I do pretty bad there but kick serious butt when it comes to the moira, seems I'm only good at fishing rivers and creeks, I fly fish only so usually cast upstream over ledges and the bass are oh so unsuspecting :twisted:

maybe this summer we can hit the river together for some smallie action.

I fish the Moira River alot!!!!! We got this bad boys more up near tweed area!

my little brother with a nice river musky!

And I caught this pike and my brother grabbed it up, we were fishing for smallies and no net made it hard to get er in!!!

Lotsa smallies in there and Id love to get out with ya, I usally use a raft to get down the river!!!!!!

Hey try fishing right were you are standing in that picture with the Bass. only try it at night. or make yer way closer to the gas docks. the lights bring in the walleye at night spring and fall...... great perch fishing right off the peer and ive cought some nice pike in where the boats dock..... also cought a few nice mud cats off the peer over where the river dumps into the bay.........happy fishing

about 3 summers ago me and my friend fished meyers pier alot. caught about 50 pike over the summer there one was about 15 lbs. also caught the occasional bass and one dogfish.

i also love the moira river fishing in belleville over the walleye fishing in the bay. i especially love sight fishing in the heat of summer for gar pike down behind the city hotel. top water fishing in the mid summer for bass behind the city hotel its rather exciting.

I like how downtown in the moira if you stand quiet for long enough in the water, some really big bass will just come up to you and have a staring contest. I had a bass that must have been 4lbs within 5ft of me looking at me, I tried putting my polarized lens in front of the camera lens to get a picture but it still didn't turn out

. there's also some pretty big chub in there. I tied on a #16 dry fly and was taking one off on every cast.

gotta love bug whipping .......... now cut up them chubs and catch a catfish *L* .............. catching bass on fly poppers is great fun too

the little foam or balsa poppers are great, but those deer hair bass frogs/mice I have can be nasty when they are soaked, your fly rod and your arm takes a beating when the line straightens out.

good plan !! for now I'm stuck tying flies and conditioning all my line, and watching fishing shows of course. Can't wait till may !!

Dont need to wait till May to go fishing!!! Perch and mudcat are fun in March and April! And the carp around during that time 2!!! Redfin Suckers would be a blast to catch to down by the foot bridge!

I've seen some really big redhorse, and also had a channel cat tickle me with his whiskers as he swam by me (this thing was 2' long and gave the chills) he/she? was being followed by 2 big bass, probably waiting for it to cough up a free meal or something. now if I can just keep those darn chub off my flies !! LOL :lol:

that little pond with the 2 foot bridges by the water treatment plant has some huge carp, also some nice bass (that inconviently leave just before bass season opens

)
