Can anyone provide me with the safest and best boat launch in the long reach / hay bay area?

Thanks,
Kim

Water is low all over the Bay. Deseronto launch not to bad. AWD/4 WD will help, because you have to go in quite aways. You have to let trailer run off cement pad. Don't forget sand/salt,ramps will get slippery :?

Also good launch in Picton at Tip of the Bay motel, bit of a run to Hay Bay or Long Reach, but not an issue unless waves high.

Well, I plan to use the launch site close to Shermans Pt this morning. It's raining as I write this at 0015 on Sat AM.

Hope to get in and out

Good Question.
Without a doubt the best site is the one in downtown Picton near the tip of the bay motel. It is a public launch site,DEEP water, well protected from the wind. I've tried quite a number in the area and it is the best....Larry

The boat ramp at the ferry docks at Adolphustown is very good and not used very much at this time of year.Good parking spots and deep water. Not far from Thompson`s and Mallory Bay and easy to reach Sherman`s also. Be sure to check the winds and weather it can get rough out there but there is also Glenn Island and Bass Cove which have been good lately.

That's great guys. Much appreciated. I'm hoping to lock into some monsters late November if I can find the nerve (and a Mustang suit!)
