Quinte Fishing

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now on a consistent basis, but I have never got around to participating much until now. This is great guys, and you will hear a lot more from me in the future.

I have been fishing at Herchimer for a week and a bit now and doing rather well. We are going to try Big Island in the morning. Where is the best spot to launch? We are heading to the west side of the island. Is the ice good at the boat launch at the west end of the Big Island? Also, is there enough ice out there to drive a quad out, or should I leave the quad at home?
