Just heard today that Moons bait and tackle in Deseronto is up for sale, not good news. That's all I know about it.

It is part of his garage.
It's too bad, there aren't many bait shops in the area. He is not a young fellow. Must be retirement for him...Larry

That stinks, he's got some funny stories. Hopefully the new owners will keep it running. Where is the next closest bait shop if Moon's closes?

That will be a shame if Moon's closes. He gave out great service, advice, + generous amounts of minnows. Baker is one tight fisted old unit. There are a couple other spots out towards the bridge that have signs for minnows. I think one might be Wayne Maracle. The guy that stocks millions of walleyes around Foresters Island locale. Has anyone dealt with anyone out that way? Like some input on this please. Might have to "step up" my minnow ponds project if they are gonna be scarce next winter.

It would be great if the new owners took over the bait shop, but don't forget. The bait shop is the garage attatched to the property. many people might just keep it as a garage....Larry
