Being at a distance I am still privy to some nice tidbits of information regarding waters in and around the Bay of Quinte and a few others watersheds. It would be very rare for anyone to publically answer this type of question....if they even remotely know their stuff. I speak to both locals and visitors, with most items being fairly easy to find if one has done a bit of homework, even using outdated hydrographic maps. Most decent destination information is given priveatley when one has built up some type of common bond.

Just another two cents.

Regards
Don Stokes

not to mention with walleye in the fall, it would be pointless to give out gps coordinates....the fish move with the schools of baitfish, which move everyday...

therefore, gps coordinates that i could give you now, that worked last december, could very well be useless in september or october.....if you used them then, you'd probably think i was lying to you....

just go searching for them....the bass are everywhere.

I didn't bookmark any coordinates last summer or fall.

As Steve said the fish are moving and besides there's not that much water down Long Reach way or out towards the big lake.

It's always a crap shoot.

Everybody knows "whats said in the room stays in the room" Come'on give the guy some GPS "hits". I still do it the old fashion way. Wait till the Bay is froze over and walk out on the ice. Pick out a few landmarks..line yourself up systematically...check for water depth...and especially keep an eye out for any blood on the ice..I consider these to be hot spots....then go buy a map of the Bay and start marking your new "hotspots"

Here are a couple N44 08.987' W77 17.941' and N44 08.642' W77 17.893'the last one is Shipwreck Island,we caught walleye and bass when trolling or casting at Shipwreck.Anywhere out on Big bay in the spring,if you have fishfinder head off the east end of Point Anne boat ramp there is a shoal called School House shoal head south from ramp, you will find it.We get walleye when heading into shoal and just coming off.Bass try going up the Salmon River, watch going in it's a little shallow. You should get a map of the Bay Of Quinte,I could tell you spots all day,but if you don't have a map with depths on it they are hard to explain.Have a beer for me. Good Luck  p.s. sorry about waypoints ,just got off night shift
