Fished from 4 PM till 9 PM Tuesday night and I am afraid to say "The boat got skunked". There was 3 boats trolling, one boat casting and one boat jigging. All angles were covered as far as the Picton Bay was concerned! I do not think anyone caught fish. The shad were more agressive than the Walleye. The reason why I can not be sure if any were caught was because everyone left so fast due to the downpour of rain. To add insult to injury, that rain turned to blinding snow, making our trip back to Ottawa blinding. (People! get good tires!!!!). I will be back, and have not given up yet. Any day now they should turn on. Good luck Rob and Frank

Pingi,
Did you guys stick to Picton Bay or venture out farther?? The reason I ask is I noticed the bite didn't pick up in Picton Bay until latter. The fish seem to be over by the shermans/thompsons area and then latter in the season they stacked up in Picton Bay.

We did stay close to the bay. It was a little too rough to venture out farther that the last green bouy. We have caught them as early as this in past years, although I will agree that it is much better later in the month. I just thought that with the cold weather we have been experiencing, it may have moved them in sooner.
