When we came out at the launch in Mcfarlan Park the talk was about a boat being hit and the search, helicopters and coast gaurd boats which we saw. what is the real story?

I heard about this too. Was talking to the police on the water and asked them what happened. They said a couple of boats crashed into each other and that there were some injuries but everyone survived. Back at base camp I bumped into MUX who had talked with one of the guys who was in one of the boats. Apparently he and his father were trolling in their aluminum boat with their lights on when they were t-boned by a larger aluminum boat. The guys father was unconscious and pinned under the boat. They got him out and he suffered a concussion and some broken ribs. It seems the boat that was running didnt see the lights on the other boat.

There was talk that this was a hit and run in the dark. Is there any truth to this??

I'd like to thank the good people that helped us near the Hay Bay church as my wife and I had some engine troubles this weekend.

That's why the OPP were at Thompson's Pt as 0800 as we passed by with a boat on the shore.

We wondered if they were checking boats at that time of the day.

Heard the same thing, a hit and run ,but also heard that they caught the guys. Great fishing for the opener. Nice to see everyone catching fish.
