Has anyone seen, heard of or caught a musky in the bay in the last year or two? I wonder if targeting these fish is a worthwhile endeavour.

wulf,

The Bay of Quinte at this time of the year can Produce record class Muskies but... You will most likly put ALOT of time on the water in search for them. The weather on the bay gets bad at this time of the year and you best chance come from river mouths and south of deseronto into the reach. There are resident muskies here and its getting better over the years with the cleaner water and better weed structures. Give the Bay a few more years and it Will be an Amazing Bass, Pike and musky Fishery. The biggest muskies come in the fall with the walleye and shad.

If your going out to learn it, its not a good time of the year to start.

Good luck,

A resurgence of musky populations in the B.oQ. would be excellent. Are there any stocking programs going on or planned?
A diverse sport fishery is essential to the survival of the local sportfishing/tourism industry.
