Long Weekend, parkas, gloves, winter boots. Sux.

Ended up in the Burnt River near Fenelon Falls on Saturday night, got there around 7:30pm, stayed til midnight. Grand total of four fish in the boat for Snarfy, Wayne-o-Mac and Mux.

Saw on TV that the same old silliness occurs every year, 7 people in a single boat on Rice Lake, down she goes, three dead. Tragic, but dumb.

The wind on the weekend was incredible, particularly given the orientation of Rice Lake. Rice can be VERY rough. No fish is worth dying for.

Don't be dumb. Dead is forever.

No life preserves were being worn either, I think if I had 7 people in a 17 foot boat with rough weather...... common sense would make me put a life jacket on!!!! Sorry to the families that were effected!
