Quinte Fishing

Just wondering why the fishing has been so slow this fall?We were up nov 1-3,and managed only 1 walleye.Mind you this was the most out of 4 groups staying at our cottages.Last year we did a little better ,but our expectations did`nt materialize from what we heard about the fishing in the bay.Should we plan a dec. trip next year,or has the reputation of the bay of quinte surpassed how healthy the fishery actually is?

What techniques are you using and yes it gets better as it gets closer to freeze up.

We were mostly trolling using rapalas,uzicks,shad raps and mepps with a worm trailer.We fished the picton bay area, as well as sherman`s point.Oddly,the 1 fish we did catch was jigging using a white jig head tipped with a worm (at forresters isle). All the boats we talked to said they were`nt catching much either. I hope this is`nt a downward spiral of the fishing here because we really enjoy comin` to the quinte area.
