Winning weight was over 17lbs for four fish, actually there were 2 over 17 lb bags. 39 teams, I only counted 6 teams over the 10lb mark and almost a dozen teams with 0 and there were some top teams that got skunked. We came in with 7.60, could not get the big fish. Seemed like every team started at Trident Pt. There were planner boards everywhere. We got most of our fish just outside of sandy cove. I am sure they will have complete standings soon though.

Some great fish brought in to the scale only a few teams did not weigh in any walleye. I gambled and looked for a couple of big fish out in the Big Water east of the ferry and Lake Ontario - came in with nothing.

Great event and I will be back next year - I will get' em next time.

eye tracker..did you mark any fish? what temp did you have in the lake. The word is no big fish being caught on the US side either out of Cape vincent or Henderson. Lake temp is 56 over here, wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Marked broken pods and isolated hooks but could not get anything to go off the boards. The water surface temp was 54 to 58.

Perhaps you were too far to the east?

It was a great tourney- as usual. We caught just under 30 Picks with all but a couple around the 2 lb mark.

Most fish were on in-line spinners and a half dozen trolling cranks on planner boards.

We had a ton of boats fishing around us and everybody seemed to be hitting fish - even a big bad Red Ranger that got a few. Nothing big though.

Superdad,

The plan was to pull 2 fish in the 10+ pound range out in the big water as I knew this would place us well in the standings. In the prefish we could only get small resident fish on the troll with spinners and cranks in the
Long Reach and Narrows area.

I still had great fun and lost the gamble.
