Went to the bay sat. and launched out of picton around 1:00 in the afternoon. Saw afew pike follows and landed 3 anywhere from 5-7 lbs...lost a better one but still not a lunker. My son caught a nice perch and a 2lb eye casting a deep husky jerk.He was a elated and so was I for his determination paid off. (he`s only 11yrs old)The walleye come from just west of ram island.
Sunday we awoke later than expected and fished the lake are trailer is on... East. We trolled some weed lines in 12- 15 fow and caught 6 walleye and 2 pike. Two of the walleye were 19" long and the others were decent eaters. The bait of choice was the cc shad and I did most of the trolling with the electric because there was no wind at all. We were only out for 3.5 hrs and my son got 2 of them...we were both pleased with the weekend.
Will be back in a week or so but this weekend will be hitting the kawarthas both days for musky.
