Just back for a couple hours and heading back to Hay Bay.

The BITE IS ON................................

Everyone is catching fish in Hay Bay, up in the flats at the east end, 20-30 boats all doing well. AT least this morning and early afternoon.

One cottager I was talking to said his cottage got 40 this morning.

See you on the water tomorrow - Think I'll stay away from the boat traffic and try some other areas.

Thanks Superdad,

Just got back myself. Fished the cove just before thompsons pt. Fish were biting, we landed a few, and then the boat traffic came in and shut em down. It was pretty bad out there. People trolling directly beside you. Lines almost tangling. Saw some nice 6 or 7 lbers being caught. Ours were all around 2 lbs.

I wish we knew they were biting in the flats. Our cottage is just east of Ram island and would have made for an easier ride. haha. They were biting either way.

Caught a nice pike in the weeds of Ram as well. (R.R ripstick)

Thanks to Larry at Perfect Vu for getting us on to the fish. We would have been skunked other wise.

Dave

Hi Slim,

Your trip sounds like mine, got out Saturday by Thompsons, caught a few in the afternoon, but Larry got the word out and by Sunday there were 8 boats trying to troll over a tiny peice of real estate. Oh well, we bagged a couple for the frying pan and let the rest go.

Wasnt surprised to see the rain again this weekend, seems everytime I make it out it is raining. If anyone has a big trip planned let me know and I will make sure to stay outta the area. Will definately increase your chances of blue skies.

Good luck All

THE CHAMP
