Was out to fish this AM with PerfectlyPat at 0915. Wind was blowing a ton from due East. thought of Shermans, but the threat of the high winds down there scared us off.
Headed up to the Flats with the rest of the crowd. Went to the area opposite from the public launch and trolled north and south with the wind on our side. Pat picked one (14") on an Orange Uzick and I hit a 16.5" on a Charteuse Uzick.
Let the wind blow us westward towards Huffs Is and around towards McCabe Bay. Pat hit another 14" near the mouth of McCabe Bay.
Motored to WagonWheel Pt and started trolling again, I hit a 17" on the Chartreuse between the Point and Bayview.
Other campers did well, with boats reporting catches of 7and 4 fish in the high waves (up to 3 feet) at the flats.
Back to the dock at 1245. Hope the east wind dies out........
Stay Tuned..
