The fishing is still great in the belleville area. Big Bay is really coming on strong. We are going to have another banner year here. Maybe even better than last. There are people coming in to the store every day tellling me of their quanities and sizes their catching. The numbers are very good and some of the sizes are fantastic. I personally got out last Thursday evening and we had a great time. We managed to land some real nice 5 and 6 pounders and a lot of 2 and 3 pounders.
The number one live bait rig is the erie dearie with either worm or leech. The number one trolling baits are the A.C. shiner, the cc shad , the tail dancer and of course the walleye diver. We are also having great luck with the Rapala x-rap in white , hot steel and black/gold. Also the fellow that I was fishing with on Wednesday night found out that the blue/silver grabbler was doing very well. I guess that goes to show you that we must not get all rapped up with ( our best bait in the world lures) and take a look at what else we have at our disposal in our tacle boxes.
Remember have fun, be safe and bring everything back that you took with you...... best of luck to all........Ron
