Got out yesterday morning for a few hours of walleye fishing. Started at Thompon's Cove, with no success. Moved over to Sherman's and fished around the weed bed that is about half way between the marker and the shore. I managed 4 in about 1/2 hour there. There was a slight ripple on the water and when that bit of wind died so did the bite. Started trolling along the shore towards the boat ramp, fishing just off the weeds. Manged 2 more along there. The bite was slow but the fish are there. I suspect with a bit of a breeze on the water the fishing might have been better. The bay was like a sheet of glass most of the morning. All fish were caught on a black bucktail jig tipped with a worm. and all caught between 11.5 and 12.5 ft of water just off weed beds. Kept 4 fish for the pan and released the other 2.
