Me and my brother want to go on a fly-in or drive to lodge next year.We want to go for BIG PIKE  walleye and bass are secondary, for this trip.We don't want to cook, just fish.Been searching the web, they all say good fishing, but I found over the years word of mouth the best way.So guys do you have any info or been to any lodges or camps.I would think I should book now. thx

I repeatedly hear Manitoba when big pike are mentioned. The North West Territories is another place, but alas pike has always been an incidental species to me making me hesitant to mention names. I might suggest either a fairly new operation or an operation that has a very rigid C & R program to increase the odds of you being fully satisfied...... ice out might be interesting. Good luck.

I have done a fly-In out of Chapleau Ontario. 2 hours from Sudbury. The outfit that i went with does have a purely LARGE PIKE lake. They do 7 day trips where you can spend 4 days on the BIG PIKE lake and 3 on a walleye/bass/pike lake. It was awesome.

4 of us landed over 500 fish for the week. No Joke

If you are interested I can pull the info...phone#, outfitter etc.

Good Luck

This place is pricey but probably top 3 fishing lodges for monster pike in Canada. I only dream of going there but know a few who went in 2003 and they've never shut up about the place since.

Hey Doug,
I,ve never been to a lodge but did go to a fly in lake. The fishing was awsome. Spend the extra money and go to a good place. It will be worth it.
I wish i could go!!! :D :D :D

Nothing beats Knee Lake manitoba.

40 inch pike average, and all the walleye you want.

I went there 3 years ago and all i can ever think of is that trip.

problem is it ruined me. it is hard to wait for more than 5 minutes now for a walleye to bite cause of that lake, and when casting a big spoon for pike i wonder why 4 or 5 40 inch pike arent fighting over it.

The prices these fly-in places charge is unrealistic. There is no value for the money. Who needs a massage and spa included with their fishing trip? These trips are for people like Toronto Maple Leaf season ticket holders. Either very wealthy with stupid money or corporate executives. The only thing that should cost any real money on one of these trips is the flight in, everything else should be dirt cheap. $3500.00 for a 3 day trip??Whos kidding who?

Well spent the extra money and going to Kesagami Wilderness Lodge from June 4th to 8th.I talk to the manager yesterday,he said if you don't have sore arms by the end of the week than you didn't fish hard enough!!It's live release on pike and two walleye for shore lunch everyday.Emailed a guy that was there this year and the landed 100 walleye in one day 3 guys and pike were like tigers pounce on anything, even the walleye you are jigging in.CAN'T WAIT!!!

Wow!!! $2000 - $3500 that's a lot eh??

I have a bud that passed me some nice pics. of pike caught on Lac Goeland Northern Quebec. No idea what the cost was, but the pike he caught were just amazing. Not sure they're worth 2 - 3k$ though... Maybe... As was said, it's tough to put a price on recreation :D

All the very best in your search and trip. You know I'll be waiting for the pics.
