I am fishing on Vancouver Island at the present time and just read that a new "Bait Boat" program has been activated in BC. I pass this along as information. I do not belive we have the same level of concerns back home, but I do hear of a few boats, motors etc. being stolen and it always P*^^#s me off immensely.

Fishing note- I caught my first halibut today (about 17 pds in 230 ft jigging.....130pd. test); I also caught my first red snapper, a smallish coho and a 28 pd spring salmon that litterally peeled the line off of the mooching reel I was using....very neat. Lots of bald eagles, a seal, sea otter and a dolphin; fishing near Port Hardy on the west side of Vancouver Island.
