This is a report of the Fishing Derby held by the Campers at Perfect Vue to Honour former campers and fishers.

The alarm was early as breakfast was for 0600, and the food was good and the rules explained by the Co-Chairs, Bob & Jack.

Everyone piled into their boats for the 0700 Shot-gun Start, one close call with a non-derby fisher, who just missed cutting in front of a couple boats in the derby. Some people don't pay attention what's going on around them.

People tore off to Thompsons Cove, Mallory Bay, Shermans Pt, Picton Bay - all over the place.

After the weigh-ins at the dock, people made their ways back to the main area. This is what they saw on arriving.

The line had started for the BBQ.

After the lunch the prizes were awarded. These two ladies won the prize for the largest Sheepshead (there is some value to those line-tuggers).

Everyone was waiting for the grand prize in the Walleye Category and a boat from Bay Resort and Captained by Huey Parent, accompanied by his wife - Jackie and Patty Therre, Took the top Honours and the 1st Prize Cash.

A good time was had by all - with fabulous weather, a terrific Fish Bite and lots of laughs.

Looking forward to seeing many again this Saturday at the Derby put on by the Campers at Bayview Resort - tickets are limited - so better call or drop by(See the previous post regarding the derby for phone numbers.)
