Here's a quick report on the last week.
Aug 2nd, fished with Perefectly Pat and we hit a couple in Thompsons cove. Fished a couple of hours (0900-1100).
Aug 5th - Perfect Vue's Legends Memory Derby. My Dad and I landed 6 fish, weighed in four, didn't place. Lots of fish brought in for the derby.
Suffice to say that a boat from Bayview Resort CampGround was the WINNER......................
Good time had by all.
Aug 6th, Fished with my Dad on the Sunday AM in Mallory Bay and Thompsons Cove - landed 6 nice fish and released them all. (0830 - 1200).
Aug 8th - Out to fish with Ohio Joe for a couple hours in the evening, no bites at Thompsons Cove, over to Mallory for a troll around, I hit a nice 18 incher at 2030 as the sun was going down- thought we were gonna be skunked, but got a fish near the end of the evening.
Aug 9th - Out to fish with Laker John and his wife, Perfectly Pat and myself, no hits in Thompsons Cove, over to Mallory. Final count for the morning over there was 7 landed, PerfectlyPat lead the way with four fish. Called it a morning at 1200 and back to camp.
The bite was tougher on Tuesday night and for some it was tough on Wed AM also. We were lucky and hit some active fish.
I am planning on a report of the PErfect Vue Derby with some pictures, when I have a half hour to process them.
