Hi guys, great posts and hope the fishing picks up for the Nov 30th weekend, me and the boys will be down trolling for Grandpa. I have a planer board but haven't used it much and from reading the posts its the way to go. I know how they clip on but I was curious on the best way to start off so they go down deep. Using snap weights and deep diving crankbaits do I drop them straight down, troll alittle and then hook them on, or what?? Also how many lines off 1 board and how far would you drift out the board with 3 people in the boat? Do you stop the boat when you get a fish on or slow down and leave the other lines in the water. Let me know your thoughts and tips and tricks and we'll see you down at Merlands month end. Thanks!!!

I have both in-line boards and mast/double boards. With the mast and board you can run 2 lines easily. Running the rod with the longest lead on the outside will help minimize tangles. I usually keep the motor in gear and keep the other lines out. With the in-line board I will let out line then clip on the board and let out more line. How far to the side is a matter of choice. I usually run them about 30-50 feet to the side.
