The time flies by when you're having fun and catching fish.

Was out to fish with Laker John and his wife, PerfectlyPat and myself last Wed-the 12th at 0900 - Fished for 45 mins in Thompsons Cove and didn't get a hit, headed to Mallory to see what was biting over there.

Fished over there until 1200 with a catch of seven walleyes, PerfectlyPat outfished everyone with a total of four eyes.

All the fish were caught on the Orange Uzick Spinner.

We had a great time and the fishing was great.

Fished again on Saturday at the Memorial Fishing Derby at Bayview Resort with Laker John and my Dad. We were able to find some active fish and landed a total of five walleyes in Mallory Bay and Shermans Pt. We were very successful.

The Orange Uzick was still working its magic.

We tried again Sat evening on Long Reach with some long line trolling, Trolled from 1815 -2015- didn't catch anything BUT marked a TON of baitfish in Long Reach.

Out again on Sunday Morning for a bit and the bite was off at Mallory Bay and we tried over at Q4. We did get three walleyes, all under 15".

It was apparent that the active fish had stopped being agressive and the bite slowed down.

Our weekend was MOST succesful.

Stay Tuned

Fished

nice catch at Mallory...Superdad..on the Wednesday the 8th not the 12th :) ... That is where most of our fish came from ..didnt do great but had enough for a good feed and that is fine with us. Last ones on Thursday night were in 45 feet on the bottom off Q6. Sorry we missed you..may be up later in the fall.

Great report again Superdad! I remember trolling Long Reach opener and man were the bait fish stacked or what!! Is it still like that down that way? I remember trolling the powerlines in 28 FOW and watched as the finder showed bait fish from 1fow down to 15 FOW and blips of Pickeral everywhere!
Im out for my morning fish with my grandpa at Pointe Anne will report when I get home with PICS!!!!!!
Im throwing alot of them back now in the heat of the summer, and its good to see the numbers up and the bay swinging around for now.
Great report and cant wait for the next one!!!!!!

Superdad,
I've never been certain where Mallory Bay is. Any chance you might be able to point me in the right direction?
