A visit from HayBay Larry was reason enough to fish Monday evening, all day Tuesday and Wednesday AM.

Monday evening was shortened version and we fished over by the Old Church weed-line. Trolled back and forth, shallow and deep but to no avail, couldn't buy a strike. There was another boat in the area but he was having the same luck as us.

Tuesday, saw us heading over to Mallory Bay for some trolling there. Hay Bay Larry hit a nice 18 incher on a new gold spinner he's working on. We continued to troll the areaand I hit a nice 22 incher.

Thanks for Hay Bay Larry for the picture.

We gave up that area after three horus and headed to Thompsons Cove where we drew another blank. We gave the deep waters of Long Reach a shot with some flat-line and planer board trolling, marked a LOT of fish but couldn't entice a strike.

Wednesday was a short morning trip out to Shermans Point and the deep water of the Reach again, trying spinners and worm, deep cranks, shallow cranks - the whole gamut of lures and baits No hits, no runs no errors for Wed AM.

We had good weather with a few showers on Tuesday, perfect fishing weather, the pressure change might have put them down.

Met another angler on the water on Wed AM and he was having trouble finding fish also - they had one on Tuesday ove in Mallory.

The water Temp has dropped to 68 degs F in Mallory, down from 71 last week. it's cooling off slowly.

Always good to wet a line with HayBay Larry - thanks for coming down.

Stay Tuned

David,
It was a great few days on the water, too bad we couldn't have scared up some more walleye. The fishing was slow as it usually does in late September only to return good results as fall progresses....Larry
